Support can increase as your needs change. TOTALCARE offers Lifestyle Living, Home Based Care and access to the on-site Care Centre. Home Based Care can provide between 1 and 12 hours of assistance per day, while residents who require more comprehensive support can access the 23-bed Care Centre with 24-hour care. Senior Village residents receive priority access.

Yes, provided they qualify under the Life Right agreement. A Nominated Person who is 60 or older may continue living in the home and enter into a new Life Right agreement, subject to the required legal arrangements. Different rules apply to a Nominated Occupier aged 50 or older, so it is worth understanding which structure applies to you as a couple.

When the agreement ends and the home is vacated, a portion of the original Life Right loan is repaid to you or your estate. The deduction is calculated according to how long the Life Right has been held, up to a maximum of 25% of the original loan value. Steyn City Properties will make repayment within six months, even if the Life Right has not yet been resold.

Residents pay the Steyn City Management Association levy, City Centre levy, Senior Village levy and a catering levy, as well as utilities based on actual use. The Senior Village levy includes the Village Nurse and Care Companion. Additional TOTALCARE services are contracted and paid for separately according to the level of support required.

Senior Village residents enjoy access to the dedicated Lifestyle Centre, health and fitness facilities, gardens and daily activities, as well as the wider Steyn City lifestyle. That includes parkland, restaurants, retail, wellness facilities, golf, walking routes and other estate amenities. The aim is to make later life feel connected, active and independent, with care available in the background when needed.
